How I Graduated College in Only 4 Years

It’s August now, and for the first time in 16 years, I’m not going back to school in the fall. It’s still something¬† I’m struggling to wrap my head around. No stocking up on pencils and folders, no reason to dig out the old backpack, I’m not looking for new walking shoes, and no triple checking the official first day of class.

Spring of 2016 awarded me a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts majoring in Graphic Design from a “four year university”. Throughout those four years I held the tongue-in-cheek comment of requiring five or six years to complete that four year degree. It was certainly necessary for a number of my friends deemed “super seniors” that had been around for at least five years – and that’s not due to failed classes. Continue reading →
